Demand for production solutions for press hardening continues to grow among both automotive manufacturers and subcontractors to the automotive industry in China. AP&T has now recieved an order from Nanjing StarQ for a complete press hardening line for production of chassis and body parts such as front and rear bumpers, door impact bars and floor tunnels.

The line consists of a 1200 metric ton press, which is fully automated with destacking and two SpeedFeeders.
Nanjing StarQ sees the line as a strategic investment so it can develop its business to accommodate leading automotive customers in China and strengthen its competitiveness in the market.
About Nanjing StarQ
Nanjing StarQ was founded in China in 2006. The company focuses on production of chassis and body in white parts for the growing automotive industry. In 2010 Y-Tec invested in Nanjing StarQ. The two companies were merged by the end of 2011 and established Nanjing StarQ Y-TEC. Sales are now about 580 million Chinese yuan and the production facility in Nanjing employs some 600 people. Amongst the customers are well known brands like Mazda and Ford.
