Introducing the MMMA – The Metalforming Machinery Makers Association

The MMMA is an acronym for The Metal Working Machinery Manufacturers Association.

We were created in 1949 in the name of The British Power Press Manufacturers Association, with the purpose of representing the interests of the UK’s power press makers.

Of the original seven member companies, the MMMA is proud to still have one of them, Joseph Rhodes Ltd, as a current member.

Since its formation, we have evolved to include roll forming and sheet metal machine manufacturing companies and, in recent years, have expanded our remit to feature ancillary equipment manufacturers and British-based importers.

The MMMA – to this day – is still the only UK Association solely dedicated to the sheet metal forming industry.

Our membership continues to play a major role in delivering world class manufacturing performance in sectors, such as automotive, aerospace, construction, renewables and white goods.
