Dear Members, Covid-19 Response

First of all, I hope all our members of the MMMA are well and keeping safe in these very testing times. Above all else our families and loved ones should be our main priority. Covid-19 Response

MACH 2018

MACH 2018

None of us know how long the lockdown will continue for and it’s going to be a learning curve as we have never seen before in our lifetime, both personally and in business.

As always, we remain strong and continue thinking forward, you should all now be aware that MACH 2020 is cancelled, and the proposed MACH 2021 in Jan has also been cancelled for the MMMA Metal Working Village.

This is a great disappointment for us all, but it was a unanimous decision from all the members, due to the uncertainty of Covid-19. That said, we can look forward to having great exposure at MACH 2022 when hopefully all this will be well and truly behind us.

The MMMA is here to support all of its members, continuing to market on your behalf, we request that you feed us with all the latest news on your business so that we can represent your companies it the best possible way. Electronic marketing is a key sales tool, especially in these times when production may have stopped, and we cannot continue to network. We’re able to set up a digital shop window for your business to keep promoting your products and services to potential customers. So again, please feed us the content to help us help you.

It was Ray Jelf’s last day at MMMA on the 31st March 2020, we would like to thank him for all his hard work over the years. It’s unfortunate timing and unfortunately due to Covid-19 we could not have a well-deserved send-off, however, be reassured that we will once business is back to normal. Please send Ray your best wishes, until the time we can all meet again.

Kate Neal-Smith has replaced Ray in the role of Secretary from the 1st April 2020. We welcome Kate to the MMMA, wishing her every success. Ray will support Kate throughout the transitional period, ensuring it’s as smooth as possible. We are aware that there are many refunds for the Mach exhibition, which is no easy task, this is well underway but will take some time so please understand if there are any delays.

We will come out of these dark times, many of us are continuing to work supporting the frontline to keep businesses running. I and the MMMA wish you all the very best and if we can help in anyway please call or email us. It’s imperative we continue to support one and other. Keep safe and well.

Regards

Adrian Haller

Chairman OF The MMMA
